Hybrid production

Imagine a traditional photo shoot with real talent stripped to its core. The budget may lose a zero or two, but the essential creative decision makers collaborate like always: art directors, set designers, wardrobe stylists.

A hybrid shoot produces a library of assets built from real people, products, and locations, on the schedule of a scout and fitting. Then we develop your dream deliverables. Here it is in five steps.

AI-assisted campaigns that put humans first. Developed by photographer Andrea Fremiotti, who has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of old-school commercial production.

Step 1 · The shoot

Real people in a real room

The shoot prioritizes real talent and those irreplaceable creatives whose ideas shape the look and feel of a campaign. As the photographer, I record those elements to build from later.

Step 2 · The people

Three lights, three backgrounds, every expression

Multiple cameras fire wirelessly at the same instant, each with its own angle, focal length, lighting, and background. Every expression from the talent lands in three different setups at once. A session that would normally take three rounds of shooting happens in one. The result is a complete human portrait library, not a collection of moments.

Step 3 · The library

Every variable captured and catalogued

Here’s where my experience as a digital tech kicks in. I painstakingly record the talent’s unique characteristics for authenticity, and every costume option for flexibility. Then I keyword the data for easy building in the next step.

Step 4 · The characters

Digital characters built and ready

Now it’s time to test different imaging models and build a stable character. I work with open weight models on local machines. Nothing goes online. The photography and the client’s materials stay in a closed system.

Step 5 · The output

Storyboard to finished art, fast

The puzzle pieces are in place, so let’s play. Final creative happens in software, so concepts can keep evolving after the shoot wraps. I put my decades of retouching experience to work and deliver cohesive, finely finished stills and motion.

Round two

A library that keeps growing

The library keeps working after delivery. When a campaign adds a new face, a new product, or a new look, the shoot is a small supplement. Everything already captured stays in play. Season one builds the world. Season two only shoots what’s new.

All‑AI production

Casting without a camera. Need a unique character or spokesperson built from the ground up? A fantasy landscape? Illustrations to inspire your next campaign? I create all of it in the same closed offline system.

The characters

Four heroes — no shoot

For this case study promoting a medication for menopause symptoms, I assembled briefs and created four unique characters. For the brand, I specified colors and the look of the symptoms and therapy at work. For each character, I specified heritage, age, wardrobe, hair, then locked in characteristics in every campaign image.

The scenes

Same characters — four worlds

I built each of these four scenes around the characters, not the other way around. I created the stills as my foundation, then generated motion pieces from those. Characters and wardrobes can be swapped easily for flexibility.

Want smaller, faster, more flexible shoots? Here’s more info.

The schedule of a scout and fitting. A library of custom assets without the crew of a full shoot.

Shot anywhere. Minimal lighting, locations that don't have to be perfect, large-scale production results with the low-key setup of an in-home editorial.

Shot any time. Before layouts are locked, around talent and location availability.

Decided later. Final creative happens in software, not on set, so approvals can be faster and virtual.

Open models, run locally

Several open-source models, licensed for commercial use, run on local machines rather than the cloud. Brand materials stay private.

Human finishing

The AI output is a starting point. Everything is finished with software and techniques honed over years, delivered as high-resolution stills and video.

Clear licensing

Likeness and imagery rights are clear from the shoot forward. Assets are owned, not scraped.

Built to last

Assets can be added quickly, then reprocessed to work with updated engines for the life of the license.

Let’s talk ideas. Human to human.
